INSTRUCTOR

KAUA

Q1: How long have you been training in martial arts and which ones have you done?

I’ve been training martial arts 7 years ago but paused because of a leg injury during football for two years. Then I joined back to train consistently.

Q2: What made you start martial arts?

At the start I thought it was for fun but after realised that it is important to learn self defence.

Q3: Why did you become an Instructor / Sempai? (What made you want to or agree to when asked.)

I was 13 years old when I became a sempai because I saw it as an opportunity of professional and personal growth. Because as a sempai there are roles, duty and responsibilities to follow inside E.M.A.A

Q4: What’s the best thing about being an Instructor / Sempai?

The best thing about being a sempai is that I can learn and hone my skills and train harder. Also that I can pass what I have learnt to others.

Q5: What other experience do you have?

I learnt a little bit of capoeira with my dad and I have little bit of experience with children because I have worked in a nursery.

Q6: What do you do outside the dojo … what are your hobbies and interests?

I play football and basketball.

Q7: Favourite technique:

Tornado kick

Q8: Favourite food:

Pasta with double cream that only my great-grandma can do.

Q9: One interesting fact that people might not know about you:

Its a secret 😉
